Peer Review Process

The reviewers of the Jurnal Aplikasi Pelayaran dan Kepelabuhanan consist of competent experts in the fields of shipping science, ship machinery, port management and transportation, each of which works independently and professionally by consider the ethical code of scientific publications as reviewers. The peer-review process for the Jurnal Aplikasi Pelayaran dan Kepelabuhanan is as follows:

a. The reviewer conducts a review and examination of the incoming manuscript to see its suitability with the expertise of the field of science. The reviewer has the right to refuse if it is not in accordance with his expertise and competence, and the Editorial Board may assign it to another appropriate reviewer.
b. Manuscripts that are reviewed are manuscripts that are blind reviews or reveal the author's name to the evaluator, but hide the name of the evaluator to the author.
c. The reviewer reviews the manuscript based on the substance of the manuscript (article quality) within a maximum period of 2 weeks from the time the manuscript is received. If within that period the review of the manuscript has not been completed, the reviewer must confirm it to the Chief Editor or the editor-in-chief of the journal.
d. During the manuscript review process, the reviewer provides an assessment of the manuscript through the Journal review form.
e. Manuscripts of review results are returned to the Editorial Board.
f. The reviewer makes a decision on the manuscript as a result of the review, including:
    -Accept Submission (manuscript received).
    -Revisions Required (the manuscript needs to be revised by the author and returned to the reviewer).
    -Decline Submission (manuscript rejected).
